I graduated in 1992 and subsequently undertook specialist urological training in Germany (Ulm, Marburg, and Kassel) as well as in the United Kingdom (South Wales and London). I completed my specialist training in urology in Frankfurt/Main in 1997 and was awarded a PhD by the Faculty of Human Medicine at the University of Marburg/Lahn in 1999.

I began my consultant career in Bremen in 1998 before returning to the UK in 2004, where I joined Betsi Cadwaladr University Healthboard, Over the following two decades I established a regional referral centre for specialist services in female urology, andrology, and complex reconstructive genital and urethral surgery in North Wales.

Under my leadership, the urology department in Wrexham evolved into a high-volume centre for reconstructive urological surgery, with a particular focus on urethral and genital reconstruction, penile prosthesis, and both male and female urinary incontinence surgery.

In 2024, I took up a position at Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside my NHS role, I have developed a private practice with clinics based in Wrexham, Chester and Macclesfield.
